Job summary

Satāya in Cape Town seeks a Senior Technical Lead to own support and infrastructure, setting standards for client environments and handling escalations. You will lead a six-engineer team and work closely with the CEO on architecture, investments, and the technical roadmap.

The role requires hands-on experience managing Microsoft 365/Azure, networking, security, and a track record of delivering infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• At least five years in a managed services environment with strong infrastructure background.
• Deep, hands-on Microsoft 365 and Azure capability including admin, security, and architecture.
• Strong networking skills including next-generation firewalls, VPNs and SD-WAN; Fortinet experience ideal.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers and taking accountability for a team.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the standard technology stack across client environments (networking, security, cloud, endpoints).
• Partner with the CEO on solution design and major infrastructure decisions.
• Maintain an infrastructure roadmap for each managed client with risks and next steps.
• Reduce technical debt and configuration drift toward a secure baseline across clients.
• Act as senior escalation point for complex faults, guiding investigations to permanent fixes.
• Enforce service levels with visibility on backlog, ticket quality and first-time resolution.
