Job summary

Abantu Staffing Solutions is seeking an IT Support specialist to provide first-line support across offices in East London. The role involves resolving hardware, software and network issues, setting up workstations, and managing user accounts.

The ideal candidate has a Grade 12, practical IT support experience, and knowledge of Microsoft 365 and cybersecurity basics. Own transport is advantageous for local travel between offices.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• Working experience in an IT support / helpdesk role is required.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft 365, general networking and hardware troubleshooting.
• Own transport is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support to staff across the firm's offices, resolving hardware, software and network issues.
• Set up and maintain workstations, printers and other office IT equipment.
• Manage user accounts, email setup and access permissions.
• Liaise with external IT service providers on more complex issues or system upgrades.
• Maintain basic cybersecurity hygiene (backups, antivirus, password policies).
• Keep an inventory of IT equipment and coordinate repairs or replacements.
