Placements24 is seeking an IT Recruitment Consultant to manage end‑to‑end recruitment for technology roles in Port Elizabeth and the Eastern Cape. You will source, screen, interview, and place IT professionals, while building strong client relationships and advising on market trends.

The role requires strong IT knowledge, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and experience with ATS and IT sourcing platforms. Flexible remote options are available to support the Port Elizabeth team.

Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a specialist Recruitment Consultancy based in Port Elizabeth , is seeking a skilled IT Recruitment Consultant to focus on placing technology professionals. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process for IT roles, building strong relationships with clients in the technology sector, and sourcing high-calibre IT talent. This role requires a candidate with a keen understanding of the IT landscape and the ability to connect businesses with the right technical expertise. Operating in a dynamic and often fast-paced market, you will be a key player in supporting the technological growth of companies in the Eastern Cape region.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, screen, and interview IT professionals, evaluating technical skills, experience, and cultural fit.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients in the technology sector, understanding their specific IT needs and hiring challenges.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for IT roles, from initial client engagement through to offer acceptance.
• Utilize specialized IT sourcing tools and networks to identify passive and active candidates.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and IT market trends relevant to Port Elizabeth and beyond.
• Provide market insights and consultative advice to clients on IT talent acquisition strategies and compensation.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an IT Recruitment Consultant or similar role within a Recruitment Consultancy .
• Demonstrable success in recruiting for a variety of IT positions, including developers, engineers, and IT support.
• Strong understanding of the IT industry and common technologies used.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and IT-specific sourcing platforms.
• A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
