Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated IT Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of IT projects in Tembisa, Gauteng. You will coordinate technical teams and stakeholders to align initiatives with the company’s strategic roadmap and technology roadmap.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience across software development, infrastructure, and system implementation, with strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies; PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing IT projects, including software development, infrastructure, and system implementation.
• Strong understanding of IT project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
• Experience with IT project management tools and software.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalize IT projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
• Acquire and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and vendors.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver project plans, proposals, status reports, and presentations.
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths, proactively addressing risks and issues.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders.
