Capital Edge Recruitment has partnered with a UK IT MSP with offices in Cape Town to recruit an IT Platform Engineer (3rd Line) for their Cape Town team. The role is senior and client-facing, delivering 3rd line support and project work across multiple accounts.

You will provide incident management for Windows Server and Azure, mentor colleagues, and contribute to service improvements while producing technical documentation.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years’ experience with Windows Server and Active Directory in an enterprise environment.
• Strong PowerShell scripting ability.
• Solid hands-on experience across core Azure services: VMs, Key Vaults, Bastion, Azure Policy, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks, NSGs, Azure AD, MFA, CA, Load Balancers, App Gateways, Backups and Azure Arc.
• Azure certifications (Administration, Solutions Architect, Virtual Desktop) advantageous.
• ITIL Foundation exposure useful.

Responsibilities

• Provide 3rd line incident management, diagnosis, investigation and resolution, across cloud environments.
• Deliver remote technical project implementations for clients.
• Work closely with service desk, technical teams and vendors to resolve issues within SLA.
• Communicate progress and solutions clearly with internal teams and customers.
• Mentor less experienced team members and contribute ideas for service improvement.
• Compile technical documentation and user guides.

Our client, a UK IT MSP with offices in Cape Town, is looking Azure Platform Engineer to join their managed services team in Cape Town.

This is a senior, client-facing role delivering 3rd line support and project work across multiple accounts.

What you’ll be doing:

• Providing 3rd line incident management, diagnosis, investigation and resolution, across cloud environments
• Delivering technical project implementation work for clients remotely
• Working closely with service desk, technical teams and vendors to resolve issues within SLA
• Communicating clearly with both internal teams and customers on progress and solutions
• Contributing ideas for service improvement and mentoring less experienced team members
• Compiling technical documentation and user guides

What you’ll need:
