Job summary

Tsebo Solutions Group is hiring a Storeman in Durban to manage stock, verify deliveries, maintain FIFO and ensure proper storage per food safety standards.

The role requires Grade 12 and at least 2 years in stores/stock control, with basic Excel literacy, strong numeracy, and organizational skills. You will perform regular stock counts and maintain precise records in a catering environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a stores, inventory, or stock control environment.
• Experience within catering, hospitality, or food service industries will be advantageous.
• Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and stock management systems.
• Good numerical and administrative skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming stock and deliveries.
• Ensure that received quantities and quality match purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Store stock correctly according to food safety and stock management principles.
• Issue stock to operational departments as required and maintain accurate records.
• Conduct regular stock counts and assist with month-end stock takes.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
• Ensure stock rotation practices (FIFO) are consistently applied.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and security of all storerooms.
• Assist with inventory administration and stock reporting.
• Adhere to company policies, health and safety regulations, and food safety standards.
