Job summary

Standard Bank Group is expanding its Personal & Private Banking team in Durban with a 12-month fixed-term telesales role focused on Funeral Plans and Life Insurance. The role requires proactive outbound engagement and a strong sales mindset to identify client needs and convert opportunities into insurance solutions.

The successful candidate will perform compliant, regulated insurance sales, capture applications accurately, and maintain client records while meeting cross-sell targets.

Qualifications

• 12+ months of continuous experience in a target-driven telesales or outbound sales environment.
• Experience in banking, insurance or financial services preferred.
• FAIS-fit and proper requirements must be met.
• Basic understanding of insurance products (Funeral Plans, Life Insurance) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Proactively sell Funeral Plans and Life Insurance through outbound telesales and virtual engagement.
• Identify client protection needs and match to appropriate insurance solutions.
• Execute outbound campaigns and convert opportunities into sales.
• Explain product features, premiums and policy conditions clearly.
• Accurately capture applications and maintain client records per FAIS and compliance rules.
