Job summary

rag-talent in Cape Town is seeking an Insurance Sales Consultant to grow sales with insurance intermediaries, including brokers and underwriters, through proactive relationship management and promotion of tracking solutions.

The role is permanent with standard business hours and occasional after-hours events, requiring a resilient, target-driven individual and strong communication across the SA insurance sector.

Qualifications

• Strong sales background within automotive, pharmaceutical or logistics sectors.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building across corporate levels.
• Self‑motivated, resilient, and target-driven with a collaborative approach.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; valid South African driver’s licence.
• Underwriting/broking/insurance exposure is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Grow sales pipeline by engaging regional insurance intermediaries.
• Promote tracking and telematics solutions to brokers and underwriters.
• Manage a portfolio of brokers, administrators, and intermediaries.
• Design and deliver regular product training for intermediary staff.
• Coordinate marketing incentives to stimulate performance.
• Monitor performance, track trends, and report to leadership.
• Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales and installation targets.
• Identify new opportunities and improve service delivery workflows.
• Ensure accurate client paperwork and up-to-date databases.
