Job summary

Porcupine Union in South Africa is seeking a Test Analyst to safeguard the quality of core insurance systems. You will design test plans from requirements, execute functional, integration, regression, and UAT tests across multiple platforms, and validate third-party interfaces.

Collaboration with developers, analysts, and product owners in Agile/SCRUM ceremonies is essential, along with defect tracking and contributing to test automation improvements and release readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of software testing or QA experience.
• Experience in the short-term insurance industry.
• Understanding of insurance workflows and business processes.
• Hands-on experience in Agile/SCRUM environments.
• Proficiency with testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, SQL, and Azure DevOps.
• ISTQB Certification (Foundation or higher).
• Relevant IT degree or diploma.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and user stories to design comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing across multiple systems and platforms.
• Validate third-party integrations and service provider interfaces to ensure seamless data exchange and system interoperability.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners in Agile ceremonies and sprint cycles.
• Identify, document, and track defects using standard tools and methodologies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes and automation strategies.
• Support release and deployment activities, including post-implementation verification.
