Job summary

1Life Insurance is seeking a dedicated tester to support system testing services across business and IT test activities, coordinating with business test representatives and the Test Manager to escalate key test issues.

The role covers designing and executing test scenarios and scripts, performing IT performance testing, ensuring documentation, data management, and compliance with POPI, while engaging stakeholders daily.

• Design and deliver structured test scenarios and scripts
• Knowledge of test data handling and reporting

Responsibilities

• Carry out complex tests to verify specifications and reject nonconforming material.
• Identify risks, manage issues, and ensure quality assurance throughout the project life cycle.
• Validate new or existing test methods and design/deliver test scenarios and scripts.
• Create and review automated and functional test scripts and monitor results.
• Coordinate re-testing of defects with business testers or third-party providers.
• Prepare moderately complex documents and reports including test scripts, schedules and progress charts.
• Engage stakeholders through meetings and daily status reviews to drive SIT results.
• Develop knowledge of regulatory codes and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Manage test data and ensure data protection in line with POPI.
• Organise own work schedule and allocate tasks as needed.
