Job summary

Communicate Finance is seeking an experienced QA professional based in South Africa's Western Cape to drive manual testing and UAT efforts. You will design test cases, maintain traceability, and coordinate defect management across cross-functional teams.

Ideally you bring 3+ years of QA experience, strong SDLC knowledge, and clear communication with stakeholders. Exposure to Jira/Quality Center helps, and you will operate in an Agile/Waterfall mix environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in software testing, user acceptance testing, or a similar QA role.
• Strong experience creating and executing manual test cases and test scripts.
• Solid understanding of software development and software delivery lifecycles.
• Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or iterative delivery environments.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience managing defects and test documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Passion for quality, attention to detail, and delivering excellent user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, user stories, use cases, and project scope documentation
• Develop comprehensive manual test scripts and test cases for user acceptance testing
• Maintain a structured repository of test cases aligned to business requirements and rules
• Execute manual testing activities and validate system functionality against requirements
• Verify interactions between systems, applications, integrations, and business processes
• Validate data integrity, user interfaces, workflows, and business rules
• Analyze test results and identify risks associated with new functionality and system changes
• Log, track, and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle
• Provide regular progress updates to project and business stakeholders
• Create user documentation and support handover processes into production environments
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure successful project delivery
