Job summary

Qualifications

• BEd and/or PGCE in foundation phase education; honours advantageous.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as foundation phase teacher.
• Knowledge of the CAPS curriculum; strong facilitation and report-writing skills.
• Excellent communication, organisational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach and coordinate a range of subjects per Curro foundation phase curriculum.
• Review and implement term plans, create customised plans and coordinate parent/learning meetings.
• Manage classroom, including design, discipline and parent communication.
• Manage assessments, roster, revision packs, moderation and interventions.
• Plan and manage homework and reading levels; organise extramural activities.
