Curro Edenvale Combined in Edenvale is seeking a Temp Foundation Phase Teacher (part-time) to commence duties in October 2026. The role involves teaching and coordinating a range of subjects per the Curro curriculum for the foundation phase, with emphasis on active teaching, knowledge transfer and development of positive learner attitudes.

Requirements include a BEd and/or PGCE in foundation phase education, ideally with an honours, plus a minimum of two years' classroom experience and knowledge

Qualifications

• BEd and/or PGCE in foundation phase education, honours advantageous
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a foundation phase teacher
• Knowledge of the IEB curriculum
• Proven facilitation, report-writing and communication skills
• Excellent organisational and planning abilities

Responsibilities

• Teach and coordinate a range of Subject areas per Curro curriculum for the Foundation Phase
• Plan lessons using modern tools and assess academic progress
• Review term plans and provide revision and parent learning meetings
• Manage classroom setup, discipline and parent communication
• Plan homework, assessments and tracking of progress
• Coordinate extramural activities and outings
