About the Role

Our client, a dynamic primary school in Klerksdorp , is looking for a dedicated and experienced leader to serve as the Head of Foundation Phase . This pivotal role involves leading and managing the teaching staff responsible for Grade R to Grade 3, ensuring the delivery of high-quality early childhood education. The successful candidate will be responsible for curriculum oversight, staff development, and fostering a nurturing, stimulating environment for young learners in the North West province, contributing to the school's commitment to foundational learning excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and management for the Foundation Phase teaching team, fostering a positive and collaborative working culture.
• Oversee the development, implementation, and review of the Foundation Phase curriculum, ensuring alignment with national standards.
• Monitor teaching and learning within the Foundation Phase, providing guidance and support to educators to ensure high standards of instruction.
• Manage the recruitment, induction, and professional development of Foundation Phase staff.
• Ensure the provision of a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for all young learners.
• Liaise with parents and guardians, fostering strong home-school partnerships.

Requirements

• A relevant Bachelor's degree in Education (Foundation Phase specialization).
• A minimum of 8 years of teaching experience in the Foundation Phase, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proven experience in curriculum development, implementation, and assessment for early childhood education.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams and foster a positive working environment.
