Job summary

Beaver Migration and Recruitment is seeking an experienced Injection Mold Technician to relocate to Belgium and join a leading European manufacturer. You will set up molds, optimize machine performance, and troubleshoot defects to ensure top quality and uptime.

The role involves collaborating with production and maintenance teams, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment. Relocation and immigration support are provided by the employer.

Qualifications

Experience with setting up injection molding machines and mold changes.

Responsibilities

Set up and change injection molds safely and efficiently.
Install and secure molds using overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
Optimize machine parameters to maximise production efficiency and product quality.
Troubleshoot molding defects such as flash, sink marks, short shots, and warping.
Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on molds and equipment.
Monitor production quality and adjust processes as needed.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste.

About the Role

As an Injection Mold Technician, you'll be responsible for keeping production running efficiently by setting up molds, optimizing machine performance, and ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained.

You'll play a vital role in reducing downtime, improving production efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing facility.

What You'll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

Setting up and changing injection molds safely and efficiently
Installing and securing molds using overhead cranes and lifting equipment
Optimising machine parameters to maximise production efficiency and product quality
Troubleshooting molding defects such as flash, sink marks, short shots, and warping
Performing preventative maintenance and minor repairs on molds and production equipment
Monitoring production quality and making process adjustments where required
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste
Working closely with production and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations
Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work environment

We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

A technical qualification in Plastics Processing, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Proven experience with injection molding machines and mold changeovers
Strong understanding of thermoplastic materials and injection molding processes
Experience adjusting machine parameters to improve production performance
Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
The ability to work independently while maintaining high production standards
