Qualifications

Technical qualification in Plastics Processing, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Experience with injection molding machines and mold changeovers.
Strong understanding of thermoplastics and injection molding processes.
Experience adjusting machine parameters to improve production performance.
Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Set up and change injection molds safely and efficiently.
Install and secure molds using overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
Optimize machine parameters to maximize production efficiency and product quality.
Troubleshoot molding defects such as flash, sink marks, short shots, and warping.
Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on molds and equipment.
Monitor production quality and adjust processes as needed.
Support continuous improvement to increase productivity and reduce waste.
Collaborate with production and maintenance teams for smooth operations.

About the Role

As an Injection Mold Technician, you'll be responsible for keeping production running efficiently by setting up molds, optimizing machine performance, and ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained.

You'll play a vital role in reducing downtime, improving production efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing facility.

What You'll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

Setting up and changing injection molds safely and efficiently

We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

A technical qualification in Plastics Processing, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Proven experience with injection molding machines and mold changeovers
Strong understanding of thermoplastic materials and injection molding processes
Experience adjusting machine parameters to improve production performance
Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
The ability to work independently while maintaining high production standards
