Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Civil Engineer to support infrastructure development from their Bloemfontein office. The role offers a hybrid work model with a mix of remote and in-office collaboration and exposure to roads, earthworks and utilities projects.

You will plan, design and supervise projects, prepare drawings and tender documents, and liaise with clients and authorities, contributing to regional developments in the Free State.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (required).
• 3+ years of civil engineering experience, preferably in infrastructure design and development.
• Familiarity with South African standards and regulations (SANS).
• Based in or willing to commute to Bloemfontein for required office days.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversight of road infrastructure, site services and bulk earthworks.
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for new developments.
• Perform hydraulic and hydrological calculations for drainage systems.
