You will mentor junior engineers, liaise with clients and authorities, ensure compliance with South African standards, and deliver sustainable, cost-effective infrastructure solutions for regional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) registration with ECSA is highly preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in civil infrastructure design and project management.
• Experience designing roads, stormwater, and water/sanitation infrastructure.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and hydrological/hydraulic modeling tools.
• Strong knowledge of SA municipal infrastructure standards and environmental regulations.
• Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of civil infrastructure projects including roads, intersections, drainage, water supply, and sewage systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and prepare detailed design reports.
• Develop project plans, specifications, and construction drawings using design software.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful completion.
• Provide technical supervision to junior engineers and technicians.
• Liaise with clients, government authorities, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure designs comply with national and provincial regulations and best practices.
• Perform site inspections and construction supervision as required.
• Contribute to proposal writing and business development initiatives.
• Stay updated on trends and technologies in civil infrastructure engineering.
