Square 1 Recruitment presents an exciting opportunity for an Industrialization Engineer in Alberton. The role focuses on turning engineering designs into efficient, production-ready processes across precision manufacturing.

You will drive NPI projects, coordinate APQP activities, and work with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Procurement to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with IATF 16949. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, strong machining knowledge, and

Qualifications

National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
Minimum 5 years' relevant engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in industrialization, New Product Introduction (NPI) and manufacturing project execution.
Strong knowledge of machining, manufacturing processes, engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Experience with APQP, prototype development, engineering change management and production readiness.

Responsibilities

Drive engineering and industrialization projects from concept through prototyping, pre-production and full production implementation.
Coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities.
Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones and engineering deliverables.
Coordinate manufacturing process development, technical requirements and production readiness.
Work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Toolroom and Procurement to ensure successful project execution.
Oversee prototype manufacturing, engineering changes, technical documentation and process improvements.
Coordinate daily engineering activities, team priorities and project resources.
Identify manufacturing risks, resolve technical challenges and drive continuous improvement.
Ensure engineering activities align with IATF 16949 and applicable customer requirements.
