Job summary

Placements24 invites an experienced Industrial Engineer to join our production facility in Soweto. The role focuses on enhancing production efficiency and optimizing manufacturing processes to meet output, quality, and cost targets.

You will analyze current operations, identify improvements, implement practical solutions, create SOPs, and train staff, working closely with supervisors to drive continuous improvement in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and SPC.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with production staff.
• Experience with process mapping and simulation tools is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production line performance, identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for waste reduction.
• Develop and implement process improvements, including layout changes, workflow optimizations, and equipment upgrades.
• Conduct time studies, capacity planning, and productivity analysis to enhance operational output.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation to ensure consistency and quality.
• Work closely with production supervisors and operators to implement changes and provide training and support.
• Monitor production metrics, analyze data, and report on key performance indicators to management.
