Placements24 in Nelspruit (Mpumalanga) is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to join on-site operations. You will analyze processes, design improvements, and lead lean initiatives to boost throughput, cut waste, and improve quality in our manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate has a relevant engineering degree, at least 4 years in manufacturing, strong knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Six Sigma, CAD for layouts, and stats tools like Minitab or JMP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 4 years of experience in an industrial engineering role within manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) and Six Sigma methodologies
• Proficiency with CAD software for layout design and process visualization
• Experience with statistical analysis software (Minitab, JMP)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is a plus

About the Role Our client, a prominent manufacturing firm in Nelspruit, is seeking a dedicated Industrial Engineer to join their on-site team. This role is central to driving continuous improvement initiatives within our production facilities. You will be responsible for analyzing manufacturing processes, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing solutions to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of manufacturing systems, lean principles, and has a passion for optimizing operational performance. Key Responsibilities
