Job summary

Mediclinic Southern Africa is seeking a Basic Life Support clinician to attend site-based emergency calls and provide care on industrial mining sites across South Africa. The role requires adherence to HPCSA guidelines and 6 months of BLS experience, with probation-based training if needed.

The position is a 3-year contract, subject to fitness and medical assessments, with on-site work at multiple mining locations across the region.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support certification is required.

Indusrial Site Based - Basic Life Support

To attend to site based emergency calls and provide medical care in line with scope of practice for a BLS.

We are expanding our operations and have new and exciting new mining sites opening at Emalahleni, Ogies, Middleburg/ Belfast, Bethal, Secunda, Lephalale, Heidelberg, Ndou and Aphane.

Appointment for this position is subject to successful completion of physical fitness and medical assessment.

Required Education

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:

Basic Life support Certificate

DESIRED EDUCATION:

Successful completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa will be advantageous. If not compliant with the clinical practice guidelines at the time of application you will be required to complete this training during your probation period if successful in your application.

Required Experience

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

A Minimum of 6 Months BLS experience

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

1 year BLS experience
