Job summary

Mediclinic Southern Africa is expanding its Emergency Care Technician team to support on-site emergency calls at mining sites across Emalahleni, Ogies, Middleburg/Belfast, and other locations. This three-year contract requires fitness and medical assessment, essential ECT qualification, and EMS experience; you will deliver care within scope and ensure readiness.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Emergency Care Technician qualification or higher certificate.
• Willingness to train in Health Professions Council guidelines.
• Newly qualified ECT/EMS experience required.

Emergency Care Technician

To attend to site-based emergency calls and provide medical care inline within the scope of practice.

We are expanding our operations and have new and exciting new mining sites opening at Emalahleni, Ogies, Middleburg/ Belfast, Bethal, Secunda, Lephalale, Heidelberg, Ndou and Aphane.

Appointment for this position is subject to successful completion of physical fitness and medical assessment

Required Education

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:

Emergency Care Technician Qualification or Higher certificate in emergency medical care

DESIRED EDUCATION:

Successful completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa will be advantageous. If not compliant with the clinical practice guidelines at the time of application you will be required to complete this training during your probation period if successful in your application.

Required Experience

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

Newly qualified ECT/ Operational EMS experience

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

1 years EMS operational experience
