Job summary

Mediclinic Southern Africa is expanding its Industrial Site Based Emergency Medical Services with an Intermediate Life Support role for mining sites. The appointment is a 3-year contract and contingent on fitness and medical assessment.

Essential qualifications include an Ambulance Emergency Assistant Certificate or Higher Certificate in Emergency Medical Care, with 1 year EMS experience and 1 year ILS experience preferred. English proficiency and knowledge of HPCSA guidelines are required.

• Desired education: Completion of HPCSA clinical practice guidelines training or plan to complete during probation.

Industrial Site Based - Intermediate Life Support

To attend to site based emergency calls and provide medical care in line with scope of practice as an ILS/ AEA

We are expanding our operations and have new and exciting new mining sites opening at Emalahleni, Ogies, Middleburg/ Belfast, Bethal, Secunda, Lephalale, Heidelberg, Ndou and Aphane.

Required Education

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Ambulance Emergency Assistant Certificate or Higher certificate in emergency medical care

DESIRED EDUCATION: Successful completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa will be advantageous. If not compliant with the clinical practice guidelines at the time of application you will be required to complete this training during your probation period if successful in your application.
