Placements24 seeks an experienced Construction Project Architect to manage industrial projects in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The role requires overseeing architectural design from inception to handover, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality compliance.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 10 years in architectural practice, with at least 5 years in industrial projects, and strong knowledge of safety standards and industrial codes.

Qualifications

• Professional Architect (PrArch) qualification or equivalent.
• 10+ years of architectural experience, with at least 5 years in industrial projects.
• Experience managing construction projects from start to finish.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Knowledge of industrial codes and safety standards.
• Excellent project management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all architectural phases of industrial construction projects, from design development to handover.
• Coordinate architectural design with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams.
• Develop and review project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Oversee site construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
• Manage contractor performance and ensure adherence to contract terms.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Prepare project reports, documentation, and client communications.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and obtain necessary approvals.
