Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Process Engineer to join our client in Rustenburg. The role combines on-site operational involvement with strategic remote planning, offering a flexible hybrid work setup.

You will analyze, design and optimize complex industrial processes to improve efficiency, safety and product quality, leading continuous improvement initiatives and training staff on new processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in industrial process engineering, preferably mining/heavy manufacturing.
• Experience with process simulation and Lean Six Sigma principles.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing processes to identify optimization and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Design and implement new process flows and upgrade systems to improve efficiency.
• Develop and maintain P&IDs, SOPs, and control strategies.
• Collaborate with plant operations, maintenance and QA to ensure smooth execution.
• Apply SPC and other analytical tools to monitor process performance.
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Six Sigma).
• Assess feasibility of new technologies and their impact on operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
