Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Industrial Operations Engineer to join a prominent facility in Richards Bay. The role focuses on optimizing operational performance, increasing efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness while integrating new technologies and methodologies.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, at least 6 years' progressive experience in industrial operations, and strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in industrial operations and engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of operational management principles, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize daily industrial operations to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for operational improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
• Analyze operational data to identify KPIs and areas for enhancement.
• Manage and coordinate the implementation of new equipment and process technologies.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to operations teams.
