Placements24 is seeking an experienced Operations Industrial Engineer for a Richards Bay facility to optimize workflows, logistics, and resource allocation. You will analyze on-site processes, collaborate with production and logistics teams, and implement tangible efficiency improvements that boost productivity and safety.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, 5+ years of experience, and strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and process simulation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in industrial engineering or operations management.
• Proven ability to optimize workflows and logistics.
• Strong knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma and process simulation.
• Data analysis and modeling tools proficiency.
• Excellent on-floor problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize material handling, logistics, and supply chain processes within the facility.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, throughput, and resource utilization.
• Design and improve workstation layouts and factory floor configurations for maximum productivity.
• Utilize simulation and modeling tools to test and validate process changes before implementation.
• Collaborate with production, logistics, and management teams to ensure smooth operational flow and adherence to standards.
• Monitor operational KPIs and provide regular reports on performance and improvement initiatives.
