Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure optimal functioning of a Randburg manufacturing facility. You will maintain machinery, perform routine checks and carry out timely repairs to minimize downtime and uphold a safe working environment.

The role requires hands-on expertise in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, with ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• Commitment to safety and quality in maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all production machinery and plant equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on machinery.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production line stoppages to minimize downtime.
• Install and commission new equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and scheduled checks.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and contribute to a culture of workplace safety.
