Placements24 is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join an industrial plant in Benoni. You will perform routine and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, diagnose failures, and service machinery to optimise uptime and longevity.

The ideal candidate has a trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance, hands-on experience in manufacturing settings, and a strong ability to read schematics and technical manuals. A commitment to safety is essential.

Qualifications

Trade qualification or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance.
Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in manufacturing/industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, electrical systems, and diagnostic tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to safety and adherence to regulations.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on manufacturing machinery and equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system failures.
Install, calibrate, and service new equipment.
