Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician for our Mossel Bay facility. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to keep production running safely and efficiently.

The role requires a certified electrician with a valid Wireman's license and at least 3 years in industrial maintenance. You will work both independently and as part of a team to uphold high safety standards.

Qualifications

Qualified Electrician with a recognized trade certificate (e.g., NQF Level 3 or equivalent).
Valid Wireman's license.
Minimum 3 years of experience as an industrial or maintenance electrician.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, motors, and variable speed drives.
Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical faults and diagnose issues using appropriate diagnostic tools.
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to identify and address potential problems.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of electrical parts.
