Placements24 is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. You will ensure optimal performance and longevity of industrial machinery, performing preventive maintenance and diagnosing issues to minimize downtime.

Safety and quality standards are a priority while keeping state-of-the-art equipment in top condition. You will read schematics, work with hydraulics and pneumatics, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification (e.g., NQF Level 3) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related trade.
• 3–5 years of maintenance technician experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of industrial machinery.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all industrial machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic failures promptly.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and schematics to guide repairs.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, parts used and labor hours.
