Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Installation and Maintenance Engineer to join its operations in Centurion, Gauteng. The role focuses on installing, commissioning, and maintaining critical industrial equipment on-site to ensure peak performance and safety compliance.

The successful candidate will read and interpret engineering drawings, troubleshoot faults, perform preventative maintenance, and maintain detailed service logs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or related field).
• Minimum 4 years' experience in equipment installation and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and manuals.
• Hands-on experience with tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial safety procedures.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and commission new equipment per specifications and safety rules.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical faults promptly.
• Conduct performance testing and calibration after installation or repair.
• Maintain service logs and report equipment status and activities.
• Adhere to all health and safety protocols on site.
