Job summary

Placements24 in Bloemfontein is seeking a practical and experienced Industrial Electrical Engineer to join our manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and systems to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as an industrial electrical engineer or in a similar maintenance role.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting AC/DC motors, VFDs, PLCs, and control circuits.
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical safety procedures (Lockout/Tagout).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial environment.
• Experience with industrial automation systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical machinery and control systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules for electrical equipment.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with safety standards and regulations.
• Read and interpret complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
