Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Sanitation Specialist for our client in Rustenburg, North West. This full-time, on-site role focuses on maintaining stringent hygiene standards across industrial facilities in the mining sector.

You will operate cleaning equipment, handle hazardous materials safely, and ensure regulatory compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to minimize disruption. A strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Three or more years in industrial cleaning or sanitation.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals and equipment.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations in industrial/mining contexts.
• Ability to work safely with hazardous materials and operate heavy-duty cleaning machinery.
• Good attention to detail and methodical approach to tasks.
• Good physical stamina and ability to perform demanding manual tasks.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible with reporting and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized cleaning and sanitization tasks in industrial environments.
• Implement and adhere to hygiene and safety protocols to prevent contamination.
• Operate and maintain high-pressure washers, floor scrubbers, and vacuums.
• Handle industrial-grade cleaning chemicals safely following SDS.
• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
• Maintain records of cleaning activities, chemical usage, and equipment maintenance.
• Identify and report safety hazards, sanitation breaches, or malfunctions.
• Assist in developing and refining cleaning procedures for efficiency.
• Ensure proper waste management and disposal per regulations.
• Collaborate with operational teams to schedule cleaning with minimal disruption.
