Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Sanitation Operations Manager for a major manufacturing client in Rustenburg, North West. This pivotal role requires strong leadership to design, implement, and monitor sanitation programs, oversee a team of sanitation professionals, and ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, OSHA and related health and safety standards.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering or related discipline, with 5+ years in sanitation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Food Science, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering or related).
• 5+ years sanitation management experience in manufacturing (food & beverage, pharma, etc.).
• Proven ability to develop and implement sanitation programs and SOPs.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, OSHA and regulatory standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and budgeting skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee sanitation programs for manufacturing facilities.
• Lead, train, and manage the sanitation team and performance standards.
• Manage the sanitation operations budget, including labor, chemicals, and equipment.
• Ensure safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment; oversee maintenance and calibration.
• Conduct audits of production areas to ensure compliance and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, and Engineering to address sanitation issues.
