Job summary

Kontak Recruitment is seeking an External Sales Representative for Industrial Machinery & Components in Alberton, Gauteng. The role focuses on growing market share, developing new business, and managing relationships across key industries. A proactive hunter with industry exposure and a valid driver's license is essential.

Salary is R30,000–R35,000 CTC per month plus incentives and a fuel card, with a permanent, full-time position in the manufacturing sector.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as an external sales representative in industrial/engineering/processing equipment sectors.
• Experience servicing the food & beverage and industrial markets.
• Strong track record in new business development and account growth.
• Must currently work within the industry or with direct competitors.
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and industry engagement.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to grow revenue and increase market penetration.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to closing deals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers; conduct regular client visits and reviews.
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within customer accounts.
