About the Role

Our client, a prominent manufacturer of specialized industrial machinery, is looking for a dedicated Industrial Equipment Installer to join their operations based in Tembisa, Gauteng. This role is crucial for ensuring the correct and efficient setup of equipment at client sites, thereby guaranteeing seamless integration into their production lines. You will be responsible for the physical installation, connection, and initial testing of machinery, working closely with project managers and site engineers. The ideal candidate possesses strong practical skills, a meticulous approach to installation procedures, and a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical assembly. This is an on-site position, requiring a commitment to travel within the Tembisa, Gauteng area and surrounding industrial hubs. Key Responsibilities

• Perform physical installation of industrial machinery and equipment according to detailed specifications and blueprints.
• Connect mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems for new installations and relocations.
• Conduct initial system checks and basic operational testing post-installation to verify functionality.
• Interpret and follow installation guides, technical drawings, and safety procedures meticulously.
• Collaborate with site managers and engineers to coordinate installation schedules and site access.
• Ensure all installed equipment is safe, functional, and ready for commissioning by specialized teams.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment on installation sites.
• Report any installation challenges or discrepancies to the project supervisor promptly.
• Assist in dismantling and preparing equipment for transport or relocation when required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in installing heavy industrial machinery or complex mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and installation manuals.
• Strong manual dexterity and ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Understanding of basic electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic principles.
• Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Good physical condition, with the ability to lift heavy components and work in various site conditions.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an installation crew.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• A technical qualification in mechanical fitting, electrical engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
