About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the industrial manufacturing sector, is seeking a seasoned Senior Industrial Equipment Installer to manage and execute complex installation projects in Rustenburg, North West . This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless integration of heavy machinery and sophisticated production lines within our clients' facilities. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in mechanical, electrical, and potentially pneumatic systems installation, coupled with a strong understanding of industrial safety protocols. You will be responsible for leading installation teams, interpreting intricate technical documentation, and ensuring all installations meet stringent quality and performance standards. This position requires a hands‑on approach, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot effectively under pressure, contributing significantly to the operational efficiency of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the installation of heavy industrial machinery and production equipment at client sites in Rustenburg and surrounding areas.
• Interpret and follow complex mechanical, electrical, and P&ID drawings and specifications accurately.
• Oversee the assembly, alignment, and calibration of industrial equipment , ensuring precise installation.
• Manage and direct installation teams , providing technical guidance and ensuring adherence to safety procedures.
• Identify and resolve installation challenges and technical issues promptly and effectively.
• Conduct pre-installation site assessments to plan logistics and identify potential hazards.
• Perform rigorous testing and commissioning of installed equipment to verify functionality and performance.
• Liaise with clients' engineering and production staff to ensure smooth project execution and minimize operational disruption.
• Maintain detailed logs of installation activities , materials used, and any encountered issues.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant industry standards and company safety regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of hands‑on experience in the installation of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Proven expertise in mechanical, electrical, and preferably pneumatic systems installation .
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics .
• Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards and practices (e.g., lockout/tagout procedures).
• Experience supervising installation crews is highly desirable.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in demanding industrial environments.
• A relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in a mechanical or electrical field.
• Willingness to travel within the North West province and potentially further afield as project demands.
