Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineering Specialist with a strong focus on ergonomics and safety for our client in Polokwane, Limpopo. The role emphasizes risk assessment, human factors engineering, and the implementation of safety protocols across manufacturing processes.

You will collaborate with manufacturing and HR to mitigate hazards, optimize workstation designs, and foster a robust safety culture.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety or related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial engineering with a focus on ergonomics and safety.
• Strong knowledge of occupational safety regulations and human factors engineering principles.
• Experience conducting ergonomic risk assessments and implementing interventions.
• Excellent communication, presentation and training skills.

Aufgaben

• Conduct ergonomic assessments of workstations, tools, and tasks to identify and mitigate risks.
• Develop and implement ergonomic intervention strategies including workstation redesigns.
• Analyze workplace safety data to identify trends and high-risk areas.
• Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and procedures in line with best practices.
• Conduct safety training sessions for employees and management.
• Investigate incidents and near misses to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to integrate safety and ergonomics into new designs.
• Maintain safety and ergonomic records and ensure compliance with legislation.
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
• Stay updated on latest research and best practices in ergonomics and safety.
