Formación

• Bachelor level degree with ergonomics focus or related field
• Experience in industrial engineering with ergonomics emphasis

• Certification as CP/E or similar desirable

You will be responsible for analyzing job tasks, identifying ergonomic risks, and implementing design solutions to minimize physical strain, prevent injuries, and improve overall worker well-being and productivity. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct ergonomic assessments of workstations, tools, and tasks to identify potential hazards and risks.
• Design and implement ergonomic solutions, including workstation modifications, tool selection, and process adjustments.
• Develop and deliver training programs on ergonomics and safe work practices to employees and supervisors.
• Collaborate with health and safety professionals to ensure compliance with occupational health regulations.
• Analyze accident and injury data to identify trends and prioritize ergonomic interventions.
• Participate in the design and layout of new facilities or modifications to existing ones, with a focus on ergonomic principles.
• Research and recommend appropriate equipment, tools, and technologies to enhance workplace safety and comfort.
• Develop standardized work procedures that incorporate ergonomic best practices.
• Monitor the effectiveness of implemented ergonomic solutions and make necessary adjustments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Kinesiology, Occupational Therapy, or a related field with an ergonomics focus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering or a related discipline, with a specialization in workplace ergonomics and human factors.
• Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) or similar certification is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of biomechanics, anthropometry, and human-computer interaction principles.
• Proficiency in using ergonomic assessment tools and software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and observational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and influence employees at all levels.
• Experience in the automotive manufacturing sector in East London is a significant advantage.
