Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Project Manager with a background in Industrial Engineering to lead significant operational improvement projects in Richards Bay. You will drive process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements across manufacturing processes alongside cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in project management with lean manufacturing experience, strong analytical abilities, and proficiency in process mapping and simulation tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, with emphasis on industrial engineering.
• Proven experience in leading operational improvement and lean manufacturing projects.
• Proficiency in process mapping, simulation software, and statistical analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage industrial engineering projects focused on process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, budget management, and scheduling.
• Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, technicians, and operational staff to implement project initiatives.
• Conduct process analysis, identify bottlenecks, and design solutions for improved workflow and productivity.
• Oversee the procurement and implementation of new equipment and technologies.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful project completion.
