Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee key operational projects at the Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal facility. You will drive efficiency, implement new production technologies, and manage plant upgrades, collaborating with engineering, production and maintenance teams on-site.

The role requires end-to-end project management, budget control, and stakeholder communication to achieve operational excellence. A PMP certification is considered advantageous for this role.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of PM experience in industrial/manufacturing/operations.
• Experience managing projects involving process improvements, technology implementation, or plant upgrades.
• Solid understanding of industrial engineering concepts and lean methodologies.
• Experience with project management software (MS Project, Asana) and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of industrial engineering and operational improvement projects.
• Develop detailed project plans with scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines and resources.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams of engineers, technicians and operators.
• Oversee procurement of equipment and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies for on-time completion.
• Ensure compliance with safety, industry standards, and environmental policies relevant to Richards Bay.
