Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to oversee major industrial operations projects in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage scope, cost, schedule, and risk, and ensure safety and quality compliance across sites.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of relevant PM experience in heavy industry, a degree in engineering or operations, and PMP/Prince2 certification is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related.
• 8+ years of PM experience in industrial operations, manufacturing or heavy industry.
• PM/Prince2 or PMP certification is highly desirable.
• Solid knowledge of industrial processes, supply chain and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and closure of complex industrial projects.
• Develop detailed project plans with scope, WBS, schedules and budgets.
• Manage resources including personnel, equipment and materials.
• Oversee risk management and mitigation strategies.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance on sites in Richards Bay.
• Monitor progress against KPIs and report to senior management.
• Foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement and post-project lessons learned.
