Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineering Manager to oversee operations in Klerksdorp, North West. The role drives operational excellence, leads the industrial engineering department, and coordinates with senior management to align engineering with business goals.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in process optimization, Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, and proven leadership in a demanding industrial environment.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years progressive industrial engineering experience
• 3–5 years in a management or supervisory role
• Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma experience; Black Belt desirable
• Proven track record leading engineering teams and large projects
• Strong business acumen and financial management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Industrial Engineering department with strategic direction
• Oversee design, implementation and continuous improvement of processes
• Develop and manage departmental budgets for cost-effective resources
• Mentor and develop a high-performance team of engineers
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align engineering with business goals
• Ensure safety, health and environmental compliance across operations
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma and other excellence initiatives
• Plan and implement new equipment installations and layouts
• Prepare and present KPI and project status reports
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
