Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineering Lead to oversee operations in Klerksdorp. You will lead a team of industrial engineers, drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, and align engineering activities with business goals to improve productivity and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.
• Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Understanding of manufacturing operations, production planning, and quality control systems.
• Proficiency with CAD, simulation software, and data analysis tools.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment in or near Klerksdorp is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of industrial engineers to foster a high-performance culture.
• Develop and implement long-term strategies for operational efficiency and process optimization.
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of new production systems and equipment.
• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify Lean, Six Sigma, and other improvements.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to track performance and project progress.
• Collaborate with senior management, operations, and quality assurance to align engineering strategies with business goals.
• Manage capital expenditure projects related to process improvements and equipment upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
