Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer to lead the Production Planning and Control function for a Benoni-based manufacturing client. You will optimize production schedules, allocate resources, and drive on-time delivery. You will develop planning strategies, manage inventory, and collaborate with procurement, production, and sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in production planning/scheduling or related role.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle).
• Strong inventory management and forecasting knowledge.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interdepartmental collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain PPC systems and schedules.
• Analyze capacity, material availability, and labor to create realistic schedules.
• Monitor progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and sales to align planning.
• Manage inventory of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Develop demand forecasts with sales/marketing.
• Utilize ERP/MRP systems for planning and control.
• Analyze performance data and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare reports on PPC status, KPIs, and forecast accuracy.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and timelines.
