Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer for our Kimberley facility in the Northern Cape to optimize production planning and scheduling. You will collaborate with production, inventory and supply chain teams to ensure on-time delivery while minimizing costs and lead times.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in production planning, proficiency with SAP PP or Oracle ASCP, and strong analytical skills to drive continuous improvement in a discrete manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of industrial engineering with focus on production planning and scheduling.
• Proficiency in production planning software (SAP PP, Oracle ASCP or similar).
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience in discrete manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules to meet orders.
• Optimize resource allocation for maximum efficiency.
• Analyze data to identify bottlenecks and improve workflow.
• Collaborate with supply chain and inventory teams.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste.
• Develop and monitor KPIs for production performance.
• Conduct capacity planning studies.
• Evaluate and implement new planning tools.
• Work with quality to align plans with quality objectives.
• Provide reports on production planning to management.
