Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to champion operational excellence for a dynamic industrial conglomerate in Klerksdorp. This hybrid role combines strategic remote planning with hands-on on-site execution to optimise processes and drive lean Six Sigma initiatives.

You will lead projects, analyse data, develop KPIs, and collaborate across functions to reduce waste and improve quality and throughput.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 4 years in industrial engineering with focus on operational excellence and process improvement.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in data analysis and simulation tools (e.g., Minitab, Arena).

Responsibilities

• Lead projects to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality.
• Apply lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to analyze and implement improvements.
• Develop and optimize production systems, workflows, and plant layouts.
• Conduct time and motion studies, capacity planning, and resource allocation analyses.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Develop and implement KPIs to measure performance.
• Facilitate training on continuous improvement methodologies for teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure successful implementation.
