Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Electrician and Maintenance Technician for Rustenburg, North West. The role focuses on installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems across heavy industrial machinery and plant equipment.

You will read schematics, troubleshoot faults, and ensure safe operation. The ideal candidate has a trade certificate, 4+ years of industrial experience, and proficiency with high- and low-voltage systems.

Formación

• Qualified Electrician with a valid trade certificate.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably mining or heavy manufacturing.
• Experience with high- and low-voltage electrical systems.
• Proficient in reading electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Knowledge of industrial control systems, motor controls and variable speed drives.
• Familiar with diagnostic equipment used for electrical systems.
• Understanding of safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Install, maintain and repair electrical systems, power distribution and control panels for industrial machinery.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults using diagnostic tools.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints and manuals.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, electrical codes and company policies.
• Assist in commissioning of new electrical installations and equipment.
• Respond to electrical breakdowns and perform emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and parts used.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team on continuous improvement initiatives.
